The Right Equipment

The right equipment is, obviously, the foundation of your AP/V work. This has always been the same, from the early days in the 80s when a good 16mm film camera or a high-quality SLR was the main ingredient in any successful filming or photography assignment right to today’s increasingly tech savvy market where everyone and their grandmother have pieces of equipment that will make many seasoned pros pale in comparison.

It’s not only the equipment though (else everybody would be a successful great videographer or photographer these days and come up with excellent results). However, this is not so. You still need a lot more than just the latest gadgets, be these Gopros, high-end post-processing software or flying platforms. What you also need is a good cinematographic or photographic eye, marketing skills, a more general knowledge of the market, and overall professionalism. Without any of these, it’s good-bye very soon, and you will end up among the stupid masses stuck on YouTube only.

If you’ve got what it takes (beyond just electronics, that is), then we have some valuable information for you that we’re willing to share so you can learn and grow into that area or special niche you’re dreaming of. Check out our articles here and see for yourself if you find something in it that’s worth your time.
